I built my brand while studying fashion design and working as an international model, blending global fashion influences with my African heritage. In 2016, I launched my brand and opened my showroom in Chicago. My designs are more than just garments—they enhance the female body with confidence and versatility, transitioning from work to social settings. As a brand consultant, I help other designers achieve brand consistency, ensuring their vision remains clear. While manufacturing has been part of my journey, my focus is on creating designs that inspire confidence in everyday wear.

Life teaches us so much, and while we may face challenges, we always have the power to choose our path. For a long time, I stayed in my comfort zone, but I realized that God created this vast world for us to explore. I needed to step out and embrace the opportunities before me. Chicago was an incredible chapter in my life where I launched my brand, opened my first showroom, and collaborated with other designers. It wasn’t easy, but I learned to push beyond what was familiar—finding manufacturers, the right contractors, and creating connections.

There were moments when I felt overwhelmed, but I now realize my mindset played a huge role in shaping my journey. Though naturally introverted, I understood that life is about choices. God encourages us to use the world around us, and my journey of growth is something I’m proud to share. Starting my business after graduating college, I was full of excitement and creativity. But like most entrepreneurs, the first two years were challenging. I had to balance market demands with my authenticity while ensuring my customer base grew.

Overcoming these challenges shaped me into the businesswoman I am today. Building an efficient network of people and businesses is crucial, especially in supporting the supply chain. Those who know me professionally see a resilient businesswoman, but beneath it, I have a softer side. My mentors have been essential, offering guidance on both the creative and business aspects of running a brand.

Failure has also been part of the journey. When it first hit, I wasn’t prepared, but I learned that failure teaches resilience. It allowed me to reassess my business plan and strategy. In 2019, I expanded by opening a manufacturing facility in Nairobi, Kenya. Though COVID disrupted my plans and brought financial insecurity, my father reminded me that failure isn’t the end—it’s a stepping stone.

Life is about balance—between strength and vulnerability, work and personal life. I seek fulfillment in both areas without allowing one to overshadow the other. My family has always been my foundation, giving me emotional support and the strength to move forward. They’ve influenced my path and have been a constant source of encouragement.

Even during tough times, I’ve learned that we have more control over our mindset than we realize. Choosing joy and compassion over despair can change everything. I hope to inspire others to keep going, no matter how challenging life feels. Through empathy, kindness, and faith in God, we can find strength and peace even in the hardest moments.
